Amperity announced today that Rajeev Singh, CEO of Accolade and former President and COO of Concur, has joined the company’s board of directors. Singh brings more than 20 years of deep operating experience, after co-founding and building Concur to be the eighth largest SaaS company in the world.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have Raj join us on the Amperity journey,” said Kabir Shahani, Amperity’s CEO. “He’s a true visionary and champion of big ideas, and has the operational horsepower and skills to actually see those ideas come to life. Having his expertise, mindset, and experience around the table is going to be transformational as we build Amperity.”

“The team at Amperity is tackling an incredibly large and difficult problem that, when solved, will be invaluable to their customers. Having known the founders for a number of years, it’s clear to me that they have the vision, mindset, and experience to address a real market need and I’m thrilled to be a part of the journey,” Singh said.

Singh is CEO at Accolade, an on-demand healthcare concierge for employers, health plans, and health systems. The company is transforming the costly, complex and fragmented world of health care by simplifying the day-to-day management of health information and decision making. In 1993 Singh cofounded Concur, the global leader in travel and expense management. His early years in the company were focused in the product management and development organizations. In the 20 years that followed, he worked in nearly every role in the business culminating in his final role as president, chief operating officer and board director for the last nine years of his tenure.

As president and COO, Singh was responsible for all operational functions of the business ranging from sales and marketing to customer services to R&D and human resources. During that timeframe, the company grew from $60mm in revenues to over $800mm in revenues before being acquired by SAP AG for $8.3bn in 2014.

Singh is married with two children. He graduated from Western Michigan University in 1991 (BSE). Today, he also serves on the boards of Apptio, a SaaS technology business management solutions provider, and The Seattle Children’s Hospital Foundation.
