What the Snowflake to Braze connection supports
Audience or field | Mapping and behavior | Documentation |
|---|---|---|
Profile identity | Select external_id or braze_id and preserve the customer identifier used in Braze. | |
Alias identity | With user_alias selected, supply alias_name and alias_label; send only the configured identifier type. | |
Standard fields | Map given_name to first_name, surname to last_name, and birthdate to dob. | |
Custom attributes | Align query columns with your existing attribute names; new names can create new attributes. | |
Profile update mode | Use Update existing profiles only? to restrict updates to existing profiles. |
Use customer context to refine Braze messaging
Build segments from loyalty status
Share available loyalty history from Snowflake, then select a customer’s current tier in Amperity. Send that value as a Braze custom attribute so the messaging team can define relevant segments and review the experience for each tier.
Tailor content to purchase categories
Use purchase-category history available in Amperity to prepare a profile attribute for Braze. The team can use that attribute when configuring personalized content, alongside Braze’s consent and campaign controls. This attribute update is separate from sending individual purchase events.
Set up the Snowflake to Braze workflow
Create a Snowflake share with secure views and the correct Amperity account locator for your stack and region. Confirm supported types before syncing the inbound bridge. Follow the Snowflake Bridge setup.
Configure the Braze instance and REST API key, select one identifier type, and align profile and custom-attribute names. Enable update-only mode when existing profiles are the intended scope, review consent, and validate a sample in a sandbox before production. Follow the Braze destination setup.
