Amperity + Databricks

Databricks CDP with trusted customer context

Your customer data is in Databricks. When one shopper appears under different emails, loyalty IDs, and purchase records, your teams can still miss the relationship.

We bring identity resolution and customer context to your Databricks investment, helping you recognize customers across connected sources, build useful profiles, and activate audiences through supported marketing tools.

Your lakehouse holds the records. Identity connects the customer.

A store purchase, an online order, and a loyalty account can belong to the same person without sharing a reliable identifier. If you count them separately, customer value, channel preference, and campaign audiences can tell different stories.

Databricks gives you a foundation for managing and analyzing those records. We help connect them into resolved profiles so marketing and data teams can work from a more consistent understanding of your customers.

Identity Resolution

How Amperity works with Databricks

Connect the data you choose to share

Your data team decides which tables to make available. Amperity Bridge uses OpenSharing, the evolution of Delta Sharing, for configured table sharing between Databricks and Amperity. You can share data in both directions and make resolved profiles available for analysis in Databricks.

Resolve fragmented customer records

An exact email match can miss a customer who changed email addresses or used a different account in store. We combine rules and AI scoring to find connections across the first-party sources you provide, helping your team reconcile incomplete and inconsistent records.

Build audiences and put them to work

Your marketers need a usable audience built from purchase history and customer attributes. We help them create segments from resolved profiles, review the audience, and send it to configured destinations, while your analysts use shared customer context in Databricks.

Choose how sharing, storage, and compute fit your environment

Plan data sharing, storage, batch compute, and activation separately. Amperity offers distinct options for sharing selected tables, using customer-owned storage, and running supported batch jobs in Databricks.

What it supports

What to plan for

Amperity Bridge

Configured inbound and outbound table sharing between Databricks and Amperity.

Sharing a table does not determine where processing, storage, or activation runs.

Bring Your Own Storage

For eligible new tenants, customer-owned Amazon S3 or Azure Blob Storage for configured Amperity data.

Storage and compute are independent choices. Confirm tenant, cloud, and region eligibility.

Bring Your Own Compute

Supported batch jobs in your Databricks account when enabled for your tenant.

Public preview with phased workload enablement; confirm the jobs available to your tenant.

Amperity-managed services

Application, orchestration, ingest and sharing services, real-time profiles, predictive models, AI Assistant, and audience delivery.

These services remain Amperity-managed when Databricks compute is enabled.

Bring Your Own Compute for Databricks is available in public preview for eligible prospects and new customers. Amperity confirms the supported workloads enabled for each tenant. Supported BYOC jobs include identity resolution, profile generation, queries, and segmentation; Stitch is enabled separately during preview. BYOC alone does not move the full Amperity application or downstream services into Databricks.

Give your Databricks marketing workflows better customer context

Recognize valuable customers across store and online

A loyal store shopper can look like a new customer online. Use resolved purchase history to understand cross-channel behavior and build audiences based on the value you can see across connected sources.

Make paid media audiences more relevant

Acquisition budgets lose value when audiences include people who have already purchased. Build suppression and prospecting audiences from resolved customer records, then send reviewed segments to supported advertising destinations.

Bring customer history into retention campaigns

Your retention team needs to distinguish a recent buyer from someone whose purchase pattern has changed. Use available history and customer attributes to create audiences for repeat-purchase, loyalty, and win-back campaigns.

Give analytics and AI a shared identity foundation

A model trained on fragmented profiles can misread the relationship behind the records. Make resolved context available in Databricks so your analysts and data scientists can use it in their own analysis and models.

New Look found the cross-channel customers its data was hiding

New Look's fragmented records obscured high-value shoppers and made personalization harder. Using Databricks' Data Intelligence Platform and Amperity Bridge, the retailer uncovered 3.4 million customer profiles previously fragmented across multiple records.

  • 71% of its top customers were found to shop across channels.

  • 24% more high-value customers were identified.

  • 50% higher ROAS was reported using an Amperity-built audience.

New Look customer story

Start with the use case and the data behind it

Your first use case might be recognizing high-value shoppers, reducing wasted acquisition spend, or improving a retention audience. We work with your team to identify the relevant sources, assess customer identity, and choose the sharing and deployment options that fit.

Before activation, review the profiles and audience with your team. Agree on the destinations, refresh schedule, and success measures so you can evaluate the result against a clear baseline.
