Amperity and Google Display and Video 360: Customer Match
Amperity sends first-party audiences to Google Display & Video 360 through Google Customer Match. Configure the correct advertiser or partner destination, then use matched customer segments in eligible DV360 campaigns, including supported YouTube inventory.

How Amperity and DV360 connect
1. Define the audience in Amperity
Select the customers and exclusions that support your campaign objective.
2. Choose the Customer Match route
For the documented DV360 connection, configure Google Customer Match with DisplayVideoAdvertiser or DisplayVideoPartner and the corresponding customer ID.
3. Check the audience in DV360
Allow for Google's processing and verify list availability and campaign eligibility before launch.
Identity and matching for DV360 audiences
Amperity resolves customer records upstream; Google determines the downstream Customer Match result. Identifier coverage, account eligibility, customer permissions, and campaign requirements affect usability. Do not treat a delivered list as a promise that every customer will match or that the list is usable across every inventory type.
What the DV360 connection supports
Capability | Supported behavior |
|---|---|
Direction and method | Amperity → DV360 through Google Customer Match and the Google Audience Partner API. |
Account selection | DisplayVideoAdvertiser or DisplayVideoPartner; use the matching advertiser or partner ID. |
Upload key | ContactInfo, MobileID, or UserId. An existing audience's upload key cannot be changed. |
Membership duration | Documented range: 0–540 days; 0 removes all members. Choose a duration appropriate to the audience. |
Availability | Allow up to 48 hours after Amperity finishes sending for the documented DV360 route. |
Separate beta option | Google Customer Match (GDM) uses Google Data Manager. It has separate audiences and different identifier and update rules. |
What teams do with Amperity and DV360
Build retention audiences from purchase history
Select customers whose purchase history indicates a relevant next offer, such as a complementary category or a repeat purchase interval. Send the segment to the configured DV360 advertiser or partner and verify it before the media team applies it to an eligible campaign. Maintain the business definition in Amperity while keeping creative, bidding, inventory selection, and campaign approval with the team responsible for DV360.
Distinguish acquisition from existing customer messaging
Create a segment that identifies existing customers or recent purchasers across the records available to Amperity. Make that list available to the appropriate DV360 account, then review the campaign's supported inclusion and exclusion controls. This helps the media team use the same customer definition that informs other channels. Recheck membership timing when a promotion depends on a recent purchase, since audience processing is not immediate.
Plan YouTube activation around a qualified customer list
Use a defined customer segment as the starting point for a YouTube campaign managed through DV360. Check Google's current Customer Match and campaign eligibility requirements for the chosen account and inventory before committing the media plan. Keep source segment size, matched list size, and delivered impressions as separate measurements. The connector supplies an audience; it does not determine campaign reach, bidding outcomes, or eligibility for every video placement.
Setting up the DV360 connection
For the documented DV360 route, link Amperity as an external data partner and complete authorization for the correct advertiser or partner. Confirm the customer product, ID, upload key, membership duration, and applicable consent fields with your Amperity operator.
Google Customer Match (GDM) is a separate beta connector, not an interchangeable configuration of the existing route. It sends one configured identifier per member, updates membership incrementally, and does not share existing audiences with the older connector. Discuss availability and migration with your Amperity representative before selecting it.
